Fellows will rotate with each attending for 2-month blocks for the first 6 months of fellowship in a mentorship-type model. This 6 month period will then be repeated for the second half of the year, giving a total of 4 months with each attending.

Veterans Administration:

The fellow will have clinical duties at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital longitudinally through the year. This includes surgical cases every Monday as well as clinic on the first and third Thursday of each month. The fellow is excused from other clinical duties at University of Utah during these times. The fellow is VA faculty and will run clinics and OR cases as the attending. A Shoulder & Elbow faculty member will be present or available for all surgical cases.

S&E Fellow at VA every Monday. Resident will cover attending on Mondays when fellow unavailable (i.e Tashjian SJHC OR; Chalmers UOC OR), when the fellow is on that respective service.
